Despite thunderstorms and power-cuts nothing was going to dampen Krista & Kristin’s spirits on their wedding day. And because of this the weather gods were on our sides and just before we were due to head off to the ceremony the skies cleared, and the sun and tui’s came out to play.
Krista & Kristin had decided on a low-key relaxed wedding at Shakespeare’s regional park in Whangaparoa. The perfect kind of wedding in my mind. An intimate ceremony where they were literally surrounded by their family and friends. was followed by a relaxed picnic in the park with outdoor games, and completed with a casual stroll down the beach for some photos.
The girls decided they would all get ready together in a batch overlooking Army bay, but kept the final look once everyone was dressed until they were walking up the aisle.
Thanks so much for having myself and Sam along to photograph your day. It was so much fun and a day filled with laughter which I think is apparent in the photos below. I can’t wait to show you the rest of the photos very soon.
The girls got married in the centre of the gazebo, literally surrounded on all four corners by their guests. They each entered from either side of the gazebo to meet in the middle.
The wedding kicked off with a ring warming ceremony. Both rings were passed amongst the guests who not only got to check out the bling, but also got to add a few words of love and wisdom to the rings to be carried forward in their marriage.
