Robyn & Grant’s Wedding – St Margarets, Karaka

Robyn & Grant’s wedding was held on labour weekend at St Margarets Church in Karaka. It always seems to rain on labour weekend and this year did not disappoint. After a morning of rain, the weather gods were looking down on us and it cleared just in time for their wedding – which I was only slightly upset about as I was looking forward to being able to play with some more lighting in the rain – but oh well.

Robyn & Grant meet when Grant sold Robyn her first car, and this story was captured perfectly in their cake – made by a very talented friend. Sam and I had such a blast photographing your wedding guys, and we hope you like your sneak peek (with plenty more to come when we catch up soon).

Julie & Alan’s Big Day – Settlers Country Manor, Kumeu

On Friday, we were lucky enough to photograph Julie & Alan’s wedding out at the stunning Settlers Country Manor, in Kumeu. Well the weather didn’t play the part, but what a bunch of troopers this wedding party were. Not only did they brave the rain, but they also climbed out on slippery planks for the shot the bride and groom were after. This just go to proves that the weather won’t limit you from getting those photos you want. Because Alan is from the UK, they decided to go with a London, theme which was carried through all the small details – from the transport for the guests, to the cufflinks and even the table names – I love when couples make their wedding day unique and all about them.
